Santa Ponsa

A wide sandy bay, a marina, golf on the doorstep and a residential hillside above — Santa Ponsa is the southwest's most practical family address.

Santa Ponsa

Santa Ponsa sits in the municipality of Calvià, roughly twenty minutes west of Palma. Unlike the steep, view-driven hillsides of Port d'Andratx, much of it is gently sloping and easy to live in — level walking, good roads, a proper beach and everything open across a long season.

The property here

  • Detached villas on the hillsides of Nova Santa Ponsa and the surrounding urbanisations, many with sea views.
  • Apartments and penthouses close to the beach and the marina at Port Adriano.
  • Golf-side homes around the Santa Ponsa courses.
  • Newer contemporary developments, alongside older properties well suited to renovation.

Why families choose it

International schools, medical services, supermarkets and sports facilities are all close, and the beach is a genuine amenity rather than a view. Port Adriano provides berthing and waterside restaurants a few minutes away, and the motorway makes Palma and the airport straightforward.

Things to weigh up

Santa Ponsa is busier in high summer than Andratx or the Tramuntana villages, and parts of it are unmistakably resort in character. Choosing the right pocket — and the right street within it — makes a substantial difference to how quiet the house feels in August.
